Salary Range: $85,000 - $125,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Kentwood seeking Purchasing Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance, conducting regular evaluations.
• Oversee inventory levels and procurement processes to ensure timely material availability.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to understand material requirements.
• Identify and onboard new suppliers to mitigate risks and improve the supply base.
• Lead and mentor a team of purchasing professionals.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing environment
• Proven negotiation skills and experience with vendor management
• Strong understanding of ERP systems and procurement software
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and supply chain best practices
