Quality Engineer | Whitehall, MI

Salary Range: $68,000 - $102,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Whitehall that are seeking Quality Engineers. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards.
• Conduct root cause analysis of non-conforming products and processes.
• Design and execute experiments to improve product quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality into product design and manufacturing.
• Perform internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems.
• Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Train manufacturing personnel on quality standards, tools, and best practices.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and other quality methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys).
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality management systems.
• Experience with corrective and preventive action (CAPA) systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Bonus Qualifications

• ASQ certification (e.g., CQE, CSSGB)
• Experience with Minitab or other statistical software
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards
• Experience with FMEAs, PPAPs, and Control Plans
