Manufacturing Engineer | Holt, MI
Salary Range: $67,000 - $106,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Designs and optimizes manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Develops and implements new manufacturing technologies and equipment.
- Troubleshoots production issues and implements corrective actions.
- Conducts process capability studies and implements statistical process control measures.
- Collaborates with R&D and product design teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
- Creates and maintains manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and process specifications.
- Implements continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on process improvement and optimization.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and experience with design for manufacturability (DFM).
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other continuous improvement tools.
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis for manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred).
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or other CAD software for fixture and tool design.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for production planning and data analysis.
- Project management experience, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of automation and robotics in manufacturing processes.
