Salary Range: $49,000 - $81,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Grand Haven seeking Field Service Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections to ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Troubleshoot complex machinery issues, utilizing technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
  • Install and commission new manufacturing equipment, ensuring proper functionality and integration.
  • Provide technical support and training to production staff on equipment operation and basic maintenance.
  • Document service activities, including repairs, parts used, and time spent, for accurate record-keeping.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while performing service activities in a manufacturing environment.

Recommended Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Strong understanding of PLCs and industrial control systems
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting and programming
  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., CompTIA A+, PMMI Mechatronics)
  • Proficiency in using CMMS software for work order management and documentation
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
