Salary Range: $55,000 - $82,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in St. Johns that are seeking skilled Fabrication Leads. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor fabrication team, fostering skill development and adherence to safety protocols.
• Plan, schedule, and assign fabrication tasks to ensure efficient workflow and on-time project completion.
• Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of fabrication machinery and tools.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to guide fabrication processes.
• Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure fabricated parts meet design specifications and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues, optimizing processes for improved efficiency and quality.
• Manage material inventory for fabrication projects, including ordering and tracking usage.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Strong knowledge of various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) and fabrication techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and train a team of fabricators.
• Experience with quality control procedures and ensuring adherence to specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot fabrication challenges.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for reviewing and interpreting designs.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems for production planning and inventory management.
• AWS CWI certification or equivalent welding inspection experience.
• Project management experience, particularly in leading fabrication projects from concept to completion.
