Salary Range: $50,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We partner with manufacturers across Grand Haven seeking Fabrication Leads who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and train fabrication team members, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Plan and coordinate daily fabrication activities, including material preparation, cutting, welding, and assembly.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to guide fabrication processes and ensure product accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex fabrication issues, optimizing production efficiency and minimizing material waste.
- Perform quality checks on finished products, verifying dimensions, weld integrity, and overall conformity to design specifications.
- Maintain and calibrate fabrication equipment, scheduling preventative maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and implement process improvements and design enhancements.
Recommended Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
- Strong knowledge of various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, STICK) and metal forming processes (shearing, bending, punching).
- Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and supervise a team of fabricators.
- Experience with quality control procedures and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Familiarity with operating and maintaining fabrication machinery and tools.
