Payroll Specialist | Caledonia, MI

Salary Range: $53,000 - $80,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Caledonia seeking Payroll Specialists who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
• Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, and deductions.
• Administer and reconcile payroll-related benefits and deductions.
• Prepare and submit federal and state payroll tax filings.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, taxes, and deductions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience processing multi-state payroll for 500+ employees, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, Paycom) and timekeeping systems.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, including multi-state tax compliance.
• Experience with payroll general ledger reconciliation and journal entry preparation.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and payroll processing.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
