Operations Manager | Caledonia, MI

Salary Range: $105,000 - $153,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Caledonia seeking Operations Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities to ensure efficiency and adherence to schedules.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimize productivity and quality.
• Manage and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to achieve operational targets.
• Collaborate with supply chain and quality departments to ensure seamless production and product integrity.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste and increase operational efficiency.
• Manage departmental budget, controlling costs and optimizing resource allocation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and productivity.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with ERP systems and other manufacturing software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
• Experience with ERP system implementation (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP)
• Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish)
• OSHA 30-hour certification
