Salary Range: $67,000 - $106,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Design and optimize packaging solutions for new and existing products.
• Conduct testing and validation of packaging materials and designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate packaging into the overall manufacturing process.
• Develop and maintain packaging specifications and documentation.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives related to packaging materials and processes.
• Troubleshoot packaging issues and implement corrective actions.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in packaging technology.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in packaging development or engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience with packaging materials (e.g., plastics, paperboard, flexibles) and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for packaging design and analysis.
• Knowledge of packaging testing methodologies and relevant industry standards (e.g., ISTA, ASTM).
• Experience with packaging line integration and optimization.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software for packaging design.
• ISTA certification or experience with package performance testing.
• Knowledge of sustainable packaging materials and practices.
• Familiarity with automation and robotics in packaging.
• Project management experience, including leading cross-functional teams.
