Salary Range: $81,000 - $121,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across East Lansing seeking NPI Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams for new product introduction from concept to mass production.
• Define and optimize manufacturing processes for new products to ensure efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability and testability of new products.
• Develop and implement production control plans and process documentation for NPI.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for NPI-related manufacturing issues.
• Manage pilot builds and ramp-up activities, monitoring key performance indicators.
• Select, validate, and integrate new equipment and tooling required for NPI.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to read and interpret schematics, datasheets, and technical documentation.
• Experience with PCBA bring-up, debugging, and test development.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, test methodologies, and quality control procedures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with PLM systems (e.g., Windchill, Teamcenter).
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Proficiency in a scripting language (e.g., Python) for automation.
• CAD software experience (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Knowledge of manufacturing execution systems (MES).
