Salary Range: $83,000 - $123,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, procurement, storage, and distribution of materials.
• Develop and implement inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
• Manage supplier relationships, including contract negotiations and performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and sales teams to ensure timely material availability.
• Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles for material flow and logistics.
• Monitor market trends and material costs to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and quality regulations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years experience in materials management or a similar supply chain role within manufacturing
• Proven experience with ERP systems and inventory management software
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and their application
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, particularly SAP or Oracle.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.
