Salary Range: $61,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Mattawan seeking Lead Machinists who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and train junior machinists on equipment operation and safety protocols.
• Program, set up, and operate CNC machinery to produce precision parts according to specifications.
• Lead troubleshooting and repair efforts for machining equipment malfunctions.
• Optimize machining processes and tooling for efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
• Conduct quality control inspections of finished products to ensure adherence to design tolerances.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams on new product development and design for manufacturability.
• Maintain a safe and organized machine shop environment, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.

Recommended Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience operating and programming CNC machinery (mills, lathes, etc.)
• Proven ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints and GD&T specifications.
• Strong knowledge of various metal alloys and their machining characteristics.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including training and mentoring junior machinists.
• Expertise in tooling selection, fixture design, and process optimization.
