Salary Range: $74,000 - $113,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Oversee regular cycle counts and annual physical inventories, ensuring accuracy and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Analyze inventory data, identify trends, and generate reports to support production planning and financial forecasting.
  • Manage the receiving, storage, and issuance of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
  • Implement and maintain an effective inventory management system (e.g., ERP, WMS) to track and control inventory movement.
  • Collaborate with production, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure smooth material flow and meet production schedules.
  • Develop and enforce safety protocols and best practices for inventory handling and storage.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in inventory control, logistics, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) for inventory management and data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles, including forecasting, demand planning, and optimization techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and improve inventory control processes, leading to cost reduction and efficiency gains.
  • Certification in inventory management (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.

Bonus Qualifications

  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
  • Proficiency with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system beyond basic data entry (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Experience implementing or optimizing inventory management software or systems (e.g., WMS, cycle counting tools).
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
