Inventory Control Manager | Battle Creek, MI

Salary Range: $75,000 - $114,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Battle Creek seeking Inventory Control Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Oversee regular cycle counts and annual physical inventories, investigating and reconciling discrepancies.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize stock levels.
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and warehousing to ensure smooth material flow and minimize disruptions.
• Implement and manage inventory management systems (e.g., ERP, WMS) to track and control inventory.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for inventory accuracy, turns, and other relevant metrics.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in inventory control, logistics, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and WMS.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to implement and optimize inventory control processes and procedures.

Bonus Qualifications

• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma).
• Proficiency in advanced analytics and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Prior experience implementing or optimizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Bilingual proficiency, especially in languages relevant to the company's supply chain or workforce.
