Salary Range: $43,000 - $68,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Cadillac that are seeking skilled Press Operator / Setups. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and adjust various presses (e.g., punch, brake, forming) according to production schedules and quality standards.
• Perform complex setups and changeovers, including tooling changes, material loading, and program adjustments, to minimize downtime.
• Conduct in-process quality checks using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and make necessary adjustments to maintain specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical or operational issues with press equipment to ensure continuous production flow.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production specifications to determine appropriate press settings and tooling requirements.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on presses, such as lubrication and cleaning, and document maintenance activities.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout, and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with preventative maintenance on presses
• Forklift certification or experience
• Familiarity with quality control processes and tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers)
• Basic computer skills for data entry or operating control panels
