Plant Manager | Grand Rapids, MI

Salary Range: $141,000 - $192,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily plant operations for optimal efficiency and productivity.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve production targets and business objectives.
• Manage and mentor a diverse team, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental policies.
• Optimize resource allocation, including labor, materials, and equipment, to control costs and maximize output.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through lean manufacturing principles and problem-solving methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, supply chain, and engineering, to meet customer demands.
• Manage plant budget, capital expenditures, and operational expenses effectively.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations
• Proven track record of improving production efficiency and reducing costs
• Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to manage and develop large teams

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification
• Experience with a major ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
• Fluency in Spanish or another relevant second language
• Demonstrated experience in a multi-site or global manufacturing environment
