HR Generalist | East Lansing, MI

Salary Range: $61,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in East Lansing that are seeking HR Generalists. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, 401k, and leave policies.
• Manage full-cycle recruitment for manufacturing positions, from job posting to onboarding.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws, maintaining accurate HR records and reporting.
• Conduct employee relations investigations and provide guidance on conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
• Develop and deliver HR-related training programs, such as new hire orientation and policy updates.
• Support performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and development plans.
• Assist with payroll processing and ensure data accuracy for employee compensation.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience with HRIS, payroll systems, and timekeeping software.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA).
• Demonstrated ability to manage recruitment, employee relations, and performance management processes.
