Salary Range: $44,000 - $69,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for manufacturing software applications and hardware.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to production machinery interfaces and control systems.
  • Document, track, and monitor IT incidents and service requests through to resolution, adhering to established SLAs.
  • Assist with the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of workstations, thin clients, and mobile devices on the plant floor.
  • Escalate complex technical problems to appropriate IT teams or vendors, ensuring timely communication and follow-up.
  • Support network connectivity and peripheral devices within the manufacturing environment.
  • Conduct routine system checks and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime in production.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a help desk or IT support role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware (e.g., PCs, printers, barcode scanners) and software (e.g., Windows OS, MS Office Suite, manufacturing-specific applications).
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN) and ability to troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and IT service management best practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, including occasional exposure to noise and varying temperatures.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle EBS) in a manufacturing context.
  • Familiarity with industrial control systems (ICS) or SCADA environments.
  • Basic understanding of networking principles for industrial equipment.
  • Experience supporting specialized manufacturing software (e.g., MES, PLM).
