Salary Range: $81,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement IATF 16949 compliant quality management system processes and procedures.
  • Conduct internal audits and manage external IATF certification audits, including non-conformance resolution.
  • Lead APQP activities, including PPAP submissions, control plans, and FMEA development.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using statistical process control (SPC) and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, DMAIC).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product introduction to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce defects and improve product reliability.
  • Manage supplier quality performance through audits, scorecards, and development programs.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing) or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
  • Strong understanding and practical application of IATF 16949 requirements and core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
  • Proven ability to lead and facilitate problem-solving activities using methodologies like 8D, 5 Whys, or Fishbone diagrams.
  • Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for process capability studies and data interpretation.
  • Certified Internal Auditor for IATF 16949 is highly desirable.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with AIAG core tools beyond APQP (e.g., MSA, SPC, FMEAs, PPAP).
  • Black Belt or Green Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
  • Experience with customer-specific requirements (CSRs) from major OEMs.
  • Familiarity with other quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
