Salary Range: $79,000 - $113,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Charlotte that are seeking IATF Quality Engineers. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement IATF 16949 compliant quality management system processes and procedures.
  • Conduct internal audits and manage external certification audits to ensure ongoing IATF 16949 compliance.
  • Lead problem-solving activities using core tools (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa) for internal and customer-identified non-conformances.
  • Facilitate APQP activities, including FMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP submissions for new product launches and engineering changes.
  • Analyze quality data (scrap, rework, customer returns) to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Develop and deliver IATF 16949 training to manufacturing personnel.
  • Manage supplier quality performance through audits, scorecards, and corrective action follow-up.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing) or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering within an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge and practical application of IATF 16949 standards and core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
  • Proven ability to lead and conduct internal and external audits, including supplier audits.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa) and statistical analysis software.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
