Salary Range: $48,000 - $72,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product specifications.
  • Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of quality control activities.
  • Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective actions.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and quality standards to ensure product compliance.
  • Operate and maintain various inspection equipment and tools, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and implement process improvements.

Recommended Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or technical certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in quality control, inspection, or a related manufacturing role.
  • Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, bore gauges).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformances.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with CMM or other automated inspection equipment.
  • ASQ certifications (e.g., CMI, CQIA).
  • Ability to interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC).
