Incoming Inspection Technician | Paw Paw, MI

Salary Range: $44,000 - $67,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Paw Paw seeking Incoming Inspection Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Document inspection results accurately in the Quality Management System (QMS), including acceptance, rejection, and non-conformance reports.
• Utilize a variety of precision measuring tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparators.
• Initiate and process non-conformance reports (NCRs) for rejected materials, collaborating with purchasing and engineering for root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain calibration records for inspection tools and equipment, ensuring all devices are within calibration limits.
• Assist in the development and improvement of incoming inspection procedures and work instructions.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve supplier performance.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies within the inspection area.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 years experience in quality control or manufacturing inspection
• Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
