Salary Range: $42,000 - $65,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with multiple companies in Mattawan seeking experienced Incoming Inspection Technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Document inspection results accurately, including identifying and recording non-conformances, and initiating corrective actions as needed.
• Utilize precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators to verify product dimensions and attributes.
• Generate and maintain inspection reports, defect logs, and other quality documentation in accordance with established procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve material discrepancies and improve incoming quality.
• Isolate and tag non-conforming materials, ensuring proper identification and preventing their use in production.
• Participate in root cause analysis for recurring material defects and contribute to the implementation of preventive measures.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 years experience in quality control or manufacturing inspection
• Proficiency with various measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with metrology equipment (CMM, optical comparators, etc.)
• Familiarity with various manufacturing processes (machining, molding, welding, etc.)
• Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC)
• Ability to interpret and work with 3D CAD models
