Salary Range: $54,000 - $81,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth dimensional and visual inspections of first article parts and assemblies.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications, including GD&T.
• Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, generating First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
• Identify and document non-conformances, initiating corrective actions and working with engineering to resolve issues.
• Utilize a wide range of precision measurement tools and equipment, such as CMM, optical comparators, calipers, and micrometers.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to ensure product quality and manufacturability.
• Maintain calibration and proper functioning of inspection equipment.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Demonstrated expertise in using various precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM).
• Strong understanding of First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and AS9102 or equivalent standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to document findings accurately.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with various measurement tools beyond CMM (e.g., optical comparators, micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles and application.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, or other quality management systems.
