Salary Range: $54,000 - $81,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth dimensional and visual inspections of first article parts and assemblies.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications, including GD&T.
- Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, generating First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
- Identify and document non-conformances, initiating corrective actions and working with engineering to resolve issues.
- Utilize a wide range of precision measurement tools and equipment, such as CMM, optical comparators, calipers, and micrometers.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to ensure product quality and manufacturability.
- Maintain calibration and proper functioning of inspection equipment.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
- Demonstrated expertise in using various precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM).
- Strong understanding of First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and AS9102 or equivalent standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to document findings accurately.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with various measurement tools beyond CMM (e.g., optical comparators, micrometers, calipers, gauges).
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles and application.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, or other quality management systems.
