Salary Range: $59,000 - $93,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Swiss-type lathes to produce precision parts.
• Perform in-process inspections using various measuring tools to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
• Load raw materials into machines and unload finished products.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code programs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues and adjust offsets as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
• Monitor machine operations, detecting and reporting malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years experience operating CNC Swiss Lathes, preferably Citizen or Star models.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Demonstrated ability to perform tool changes, offsets, and basic program edits.
• Strong understanding of various machining processes, materials, and cutting tools.
• Experience with in-process inspection using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, comparators).
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve common machining issues, ensuring quality and efficiency.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software for programming.
• Familiarity with quality inspection tools (e.g., CMM, optical comparator).
• Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of GD&T.
