Salary Range: $74,000 - $113,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Designs and develops new products and product enhancements.
• Creates detailed engineering drawings and specifications using CAD software.
• Performs design calculations and simulations to ensure product performance and reliability.
• Collaborates with manufacturing teams to ensure design manufacturability and optimize production processes.
• Conducts design reviews and implements feedback for continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoots design-related issues during manufacturing and field operation.
• Selects appropriate materials and components based on performance, cost, and availability.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in product design within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD).
• Demonstrated experience with DFM/DFA principles and their application.
• Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, machining).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with additive manufacturing processes and DfAM principles.
• Proficiency in simulation software (e.g., FEA, CFD) for design validation and optimization.
• Demonstrated experience in rapid prototyping techniques and their application in product development.
• Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems for managing product data and workflows.
• Strong understanding of design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.
