Salary Range: $68,000 - $107,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Montague that are seeking Design Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize mechanical designs for manufacturing processes.
• Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications using CAD software.
• Conduct stress analysis and simulations to ensure product integrity.
• Collaborate with production teams to implement design changes and improvements.
• Select and specify appropriate materials and manufacturing techniques.
• Troubleshoot design-related issues during production and assembly.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise.
• Document design processes, specifications, and test results.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• 3+ years experience in product design within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Demonstrated experience with DFM/DFA principles and their application.
• Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, machining, sheet metal fabrication).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with SolidWorks PDM or similar data management systems.
• Familiarity with simulation software (e.g., FEA, CFD) for design validation.
• Working knowledge of GD&T principles and their application in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for automation or data analysis.
