Salary Range: $75,000 - $114,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Holt that are seeking skilled Design Engineers. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Designs and develops new products and product improvements.
• Creates detailed 3D models and 2D engineering drawings.
• Conducts design reviews and implements feedback.
• Performs finite element analysis (FEA) to validate designs.
• Collaborates with manufacturing to ensure design for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA).
• Investigates and resolves product design-related issues.
• Selects appropriate materials and manufacturing processes.
• Develops and maintains engineering documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in product design within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining).
• Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Knowledge of material properties and selection for various applications.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.
• Proficiency in simulation and analysis tools (e.g., FEA, CFD) to validate designs.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and certifications (e.g., ISO, ASTM).
• Demonstrated ability to utilize CAD automation and scripting for increased efficiency.
• Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems.
