Salary Range: $70,000 - $104,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Montague that are seeking Cost Accountants. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standard product costs.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and profitability.
• Prepare detailed cost reports and present findings to management.
• Forecast future costs and participate in budget preparation.
• Support make-or-buy decisions and capital expenditure analysis.
• Implement and monitor internal controls related to inventory and cost of goods sold.
• Collaborate with production and supply chain to identify cost reduction opportunities.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation methods.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP system implementation or optimization
• Advanced Excel modeling skills, including Power Query and Power Pivot
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) software
