Salary Range: $62,000 - $97,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and edit CNC programs for 3-axis and 5-axis mills using CAM software.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters to optimize production.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and 3D models to determine machining requirements.
- Simulate and verify CNC programs to detect and resolve potential issues before machining.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and machinists to troubleshoot and improve processes.
- Create and maintain detailed setup sheets and tooling lists for each job.
- Optimize existing CNC programs for efficiency, reduced cycle times, and improved part quality.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) for generating toolpaths.
- Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming for 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mills.
- Ability to interpret engineering blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications.
- Experience with tooling selection, fixture design, and workholding strategies.
- Demonstrated knowledge of various materials and their machining characteristics.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with 5-axis programming.
- Familiarity with a variety of CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam, Fusion 360).
- Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of GD&T principles.
- Experience with automation or robotics integration.
