Salary Range: $55,000 - $89,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs for 3-axis to 5-axis milling machines using CAM software.
• Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters for various materials.
• Simulate and verify CNC programs to ensure accuracy and avoid collisions.
• Optimize tool paths and machining processes to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues and improve manufacturability.
• Create and maintain detailed setup sheets and operational instructions for machine operators.
• Troubleshoot and debug programs during first article runs and production.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM) for generating G-code.
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience programming 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mills.
• Knowledge of various tooling, fixtures, and workholding techniques.
• Experience with in-process inspection and metrology tools.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam) beyond basic programming.
• Familiarity with different control systems (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens, Haas) and their specific G-code dialects.
• Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience with 5-axis machining.
• Knowledge of various tooling and workholding solutions.
