Salary Range: $57,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop CNC programs for Lathe machines using CAD/CAM software.
  • Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to determine optimal machining processes.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding devices.
  • Simulate and verify CNC programs to ensure accuracy and prevent collisions.
  • Optimize tool paths and cutting parameters to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times.
  • Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot and refine programs.
  • Document and maintain CNC program files and setup sheets.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficient in G-code and M-code programming for CNC lathes.
  • Demonstrated experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Esprit, GibbsCAM).
  • Strong understanding of tooling, workholding, and fixture design for lathe operations.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and CAD models.
  • Experience with part setup, offsets, and in-process inspection.
