Calibration Technician | St. Johns, MI
Salary Range: $47,000 - $72,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine calibration and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning calibration equipment and instrumentation.
- Document calibration results, including out-of-tolerance conditions and corrective actions.
- Develop and implement calibration procedures and schedules in accordance with industry standards.
- Maintain calibration standards and ensure their accuracy and traceability.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address equipment issues impacting quality.
- Utilize calibration software and tools to manage and execute calibration tasks.
Recommended Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., Electronics, Metrology, Electromechanical Technology) or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience performing calibration and maintenance on various types of measurement equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and calibration procedures.
- Strong understanding of metrology principles, measurement uncertainty, and industry standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540.1).
- Proficient in using calibration software and data acquisition systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with automated calibration systems.
- ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) certification.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
- Ability to interpret and apply advanced metrology concepts.
- Experience with Gage Management software (e.g., GAGEpack, IndySoft).
