Salary Range: $53,000 - $80,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Hart that are seeking skilled Buyers. Key Responsibilities

• Source and select suppliers for raw materials, components, and MRO items.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to optimize cost and lead time.
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure material availability and quality meet manufacturing requirements.
• Manage purchase orders from creation to closure, resolving discrepancies and expediting as needed.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster long-term partnerships.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in procurement or buying within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships effectively.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and material requirements planning (MRP/ERP) systems.
• Demonstrated analytical skills for cost analysis, market research, and demand forecasting.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics
• Certification in purchasing (e.g., CPSM, CPIM) or supply chain management
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and their impact on procurement
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Experience with international sourcing and supplier management
