Salary Range: $55,000 - $82,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Source and qualify new suppliers to ensure alignment with production needs and quality standards.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to achieve cost savings and optimize inventory.
• Manage purchase orders from creation to fulfillment, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of materials.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to define material specifications and ensure product quality.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify potential risks and opportunities for process improvement.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster long-term partnerships.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in procurement or buying within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships effectively.
• Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and procurement software.
• Demonstrated analytical skills for cost analysis, market research, and supplier evaluation.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Plex)
• Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CPIM)
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience with international sourcing and logistics
