Salary Range: $56,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in St. Johns that are seeking skilled Estimators. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services.
• Consults with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Prepares detailed cost estimates and proposals for manufacturing projects, including material, labor, and overhead costs.
• Collaborates with engineering, sales, and production teams to gather necessary information for accurate quotes.
• Evaluates vendor quotes and submittals to ensure they meet project requirements and budget.
• Presents complex cost estimates and justifications to management and clients.
• Identifies and quantifies cost factors such as production time, materials, and labor expenses.
• Maintains accurate records of estimates, bids, and project costs for future reference and analysis.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in cost estimating within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and labor costs.
• Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems and specialized estimating software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor) for data extraction and analysis.
• Certification in a relevant field (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt).
• Proficiency in a CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for interpreting complex designs.
• Familiarity with automation and robotics in manufacturing processes.
• Experience with cost estimation software or platforms specific to manufacturing.
