Salary Range: $83,000 - $123,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Grand Haven that are seeking skilled Advanced Quality Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Leads Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implements corrective actions for complex quality issues.
• Develops and refines Quality Management System (QMS) processes and procedures.
• Mentors and provides technical guidance to junior quality engineers.
• Drives continuous improvement initiatives using statistical methods and lean principles.
• Collaborates with design and manufacturing teams to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Quality (DFQ).
• Manages and analyzes quality data to identify trends, predict issues, and drive proactive solutions.
• Leads internal and external audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proven experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949).
• Demonstrated ability to lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventative actions (CAPA).
• ASQ certifications (e.g., CQE, CSSBB) are highly desirable.

Bonus Qualifications

• Certified Six Sigma Black Belt
• Experience with AS9100 or IATF 16949 quality management systems
• Strong data analysis skills, including Minitab or JMP proficiency
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior quality engineers
• Experience with advanced product quality planning (APQP) processes
