Quoting Specialist | Wyoming, MI

Salary Range: $55,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely quotes for customers based on specifications.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare cost estimates.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and production to ensure quote accuracy and feasibility.
• Maintain and update pricing databases and quoting tools.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding quote status, revisions, and inquiries.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose alternative solutions to optimize quotes.
• Review and interpret customer requests for quotation (RFQs).

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in a quoting or estimating role within manufacturing.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, fabrication, assembly).
• Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate costs, lead times, and profit margins.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for interacting with internal teams and customers.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and quoting software.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP/CRM systems (e.g., SAP, Salesforce)
• Familiarity with product configurators or CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) software
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes or product structures
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or specifications
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and complex calculations
