Salary Range: $56,000 - $86,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Byron Center that are seeking skilled Staff Accountants. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements and various balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close, accruals, and reclassifications.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and inventory valuation.
• Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely vendor payments.
• Support external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
• Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., ERP systems)
• Experience with inventory costing and analysis

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with an ERP system like SAP or Oracle.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing concepts.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
