Salary Range: $76,000 - $109,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Otsego seeking Supplier Quality Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supplier quality improvement plans.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Investigate and resolve supplier-related quality issues and non-conformances.
• Collaborate with sourcing and engineering to qualify new suppliers and parts.
• Monitor and report on key supplier quality performance metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for supplier quality processes.
• Participate in the selection and evaluation of potential new suppliers.
• Ensure suppliers adhere to all relevant industry and regulatory standards.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field.
• 3-5 years experience in supplier quality, quality engineering, or manufacturing quality within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949) and core quality tools (e.g., APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
• Proven experience conducting supplier audits and driving root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D methodology).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.

Bonus Qualifications

• ASQ certifications (e.g., CSQE, CQE, CQA)
• Experience with statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for data analysis and process control
• Familiarity with specific manufacturing processes relevant to the company's products (e.g., injection molding, machining, electronics assembly)
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
• Experience with various quality management system software or ERP systems
