Salary Range: $47,000 - $72,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Mattawan that are seeking skilled Quality Inspectors. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs to verify product specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of all quality checks.
• Identify and tag non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective action procedures.
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement preventive measures.
• Perform first article inspections and in-process audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Assist in the development and revision of quality control procedures and inspection plans.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 2+ years experience in a manufacturing quality control role
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
• Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM)
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and statistical process control (SPC)
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Bonus Qualifications

• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification.
• Experience with various measurement tools beyond basic calipers/micrometers (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, profilometers).
• Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) software and methodologies.
• Ability to interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
