Industrial Electrician | Holt, MI

Salary Range: $60,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in a manufacturing environment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues in machinery and equipment, utilizing schematics and test equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Calibrate and adjust electrical instruments and control systems to meet production specifications.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to guide work.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to optimize electrical systems and resolve complex problems.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Red Seal Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of industrial control systems, PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), VFDs, and motor controls.
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics, blueprints, and relevant electrical codes (e.g., CEC, NEC).
  • Experience with installation and calibration of instrumentation and process control equipment.
  • Ability to perform preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance tasks on electrical systems.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with robotic systems and their associated electrical controls.
  • Certification in thermography or other predictive maintenance technologies.
  • Proficiency in programming PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMI development.
  • Familiarity with industrial network protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET).
  • Arc Flash safety training and experience implementing related safety protocols.
