Salary Range: $77,000 - $111,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in East Lansing that are seeking IATF Quality Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain IATF 16949 compliant quality management systems.
• Lead and participate in internal and external IATF 16949 audits.
• Drive the resolution of customer complaints and non-conformances using 8D methodology.
• Facilitate APQP activities, including PPAP submission and approval.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.
• Monitor key quality performance indicators and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide training and guidance on IATF 16949 requirements and quality tools.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven expertise in IATF 16949 standards and their practical application.
• Strong knowledge of core quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
• Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate problem-solving initiatives (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys).
• ASQ certifications (e.g., CQE, CSSBB) are highly desirable.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with AIAG core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC)
• ASQ certifications (CQE, CSSBB, CQA)
• Familiarity with other quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100)
• Proficiency in Minitab or other statistical software for data analysis
• Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
