Salary Range: $85,000 - $120,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Rockford that are seeking skilled IATF Quality Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain IATF 16949 compliant quality management systems.
• Conduct internal audits and manage external certification audits to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Lead and facilitate problem-solving activities using core tools (e.g., 8D, FMEA, SPC) for defect reduction.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through process analysis, data collection, and statistical methods.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on APQP activities, including PPAP submission and approval.
• Provide training and mentorship on quality tools and IATF 16949 requirements to manufacturing personnel.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years experience as a Quality Engineer in an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge and practical application of IATF 16949 standards and core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
• Certified Internal Auditor for IATF 16949.
• Proficiency in problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams).

Bonus Qualifications

• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Experience with AIAG Core Tools training delivery
• Knowledge of other quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100)
• Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
