Maintenance Manager | Manistee, MI

Salary Range: $90,000 - $131,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for all manufacturing equipment.
• Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Manage the maintenance budget, optimizing resource allocation and controlling costs.
• Oversee the procurement and inventory of spare parts, ensuring timely availability and minimizing downtime.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to identify and resolve equipment-related issues, improving overall efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
• Implement and manage a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking and reporting.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field
• 7+ years of progressive experience in maintenance leadership within a manufacturing environment
• Proven expertise in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and their implementation
• Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation
• Certifications such as CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) or similar

Bonus Qualifications

• CMRP or similar certification in maintenance and reliability.
• Experience implementing and optimizing CMMS systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a diverse team of maintenance technicians.
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies applied to maintenance.
• Strong understanding of Industry 4.0 concepts and their application in maintenance.
