Maintenance Manager | Portage, MI

Salary Range: $86,000 - $127,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for all manufacturing equipment.
• Manage and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, fostering skill development and safety.
• Oversee the scheduling and execution of all repair and maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
• Administer the maintenance budget, tracking expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies within the maintenance department.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
• Manage spare parts inventory to ensure critical components are readily available.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field
• 7+ years of progressive experience in maintenance leadership within a manufacturing environment
• Proven expertise in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) implementation and optimization
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi-craft teams and complex maintenance projects
• Relevant certifications such as CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) or PMP (Project Management Professional)
