Salary Range: $58,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor fabrication team members, fostering skill development and adherence to safety protocols.
• Plan and coordinate daily fabrication activities, ensuring efficient workflow and timely project completion.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to guide fabrication processes and material selection.
• Operate and maintain various fabrication machinery, including welders, grinders, and cutting tools.
• Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues, implementing corrective actions to maintain production schedules.
• Manage material inventory and order supplies as needed to support ongoing fabrication projects.
• Implement and enforce lean manufacturing principles to optimize production and reduce waste.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication, including welding, cutting, and forming.
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to supervise and mentor a team of skilled fabricators.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD software.
• Expertise in various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) and material properties.
• Demonstrated ability to optimize fabrication processes for efficiency and quality.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adherence to safety protocols.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for reviewing and interpreting designs.
• Certification in welding (e.g., AWS Certified Welder) or other relevant fabrication techniques.
• Ability to train and mentor junior fabricators.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
