Field Service Technician | Rockford, MI

Salary Range: $48,000 - $80,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues in machinery.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
• Calibrate and test equipment to meet specified operational standards and quality requirements.
• Document service activities, including repairs, parts used, and time spent, accurately.
• Provide technical support and training to customers on equipment operation and basic maintenance.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies during field service operations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance) or equivalent experience.
• 2-4 years of experience in field service, maintenance, or repair of industrial machinery within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and P&ID diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively to customer sites.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills for effective interaction with clients.

Bonus Qualifications

• OSHA 10/30 certification
• Experience with CMMS software (e.g., Fiix, UpKeep)
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles
• PLC troubleshooting experience (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley)
