Salary Range: $74,000 - $113,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop packaging solutions for new and existing products.
• Conduct testing and validation of packaging materials and designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure packaging meets product, manufacturing, and customer requirements.
• Optimize packaging for cost-effectiveness, sustainability, and supply chain efficiency.
• Create and maintain detailed packaging specifications and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve packaging-related issues in manufacturing and the field.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in packaging technology.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in packaging development, engineering, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for package design and development.
• Strong understanding of various packaging materials (e.g., plastics, paperboard, glass) and their properties.
• Experience with packaging line design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of packaging testing methodologies and relevant industry standards (e.g., ISTA).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software for packaging design.
• Knowledge of sustainable packaging materials and practices.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience with ISTA (International Safe Transit Association) testing protocols.
