Operations Manager | Byron Center, MI

Salary Range: $106,000 - $154,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Byron Center seeking Operations Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities to ensure efficiency and adherence to schedules.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimize productivity and quality.
• Manage inventory levels and supply chain logistics to minimize costs and prevent disruptions.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
• Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment
• Proven experience with Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to manage and optimize production processes, including capacity planning and scheduling
• Strong understanding of supply chain management and inventory control principles
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a track record of motivating and developing teams

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher.
• Experience with ERP system implementation or optimization.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies (e.g., IoT, AI, automation).
• Multilingual, particularly in languages relevant to global supply chains or local workforce.
